Where Leadership and Strategy Come Together

GLP's Approach: A Blended Coaching Model

Why Expertise and Certification Both Matter

At GLP we advocate a blended coaching strategy. School heads and non-profit CEO’s are best served by an executive coach with the powerful combination of significant leadership experience, consulting capacity and professional training as an executive coach. Well-established school heads and CEO’s often find that a trained coach is invaluable in focusing their goals and priorities to reignite leadership or to prepare for change and transition. GLP’s goal in providing a blended coaching model is to help clients move from consulting expertise to more active learning and professional development rooted in their context both as a leader and within their school or organization.

GLP has more than 18 years of experience coaching CEOs, heads of schools, senior executives and leadership teams as they navigate change and growth. We know that truly effective executive coaching is a process and methodology that is learned, practiced and honed. All of our coaches are trained, supervised, and certified at Columbia University’s Executive Coaching Program, ensuring our commitment to the highest standards of conduct outlined by the International Coach Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics.

Of equal importance, GLP’s coaches bring with them decades of significant leadership and management experience in the education, non-profit and for-profit worlds. GLP’s national consulting work with schools and organizations means that we are also able to provide clients with meaningful insight and exposure to current trends and research. The GLP team offers expertise in leadership, organizational design, change and transitions, and resource development. Leaders benefit from the breadth of experience GLP offers as they take on the significant and growing demands required of them today.
